About Michigan Amish Store
The Michigan Amish Store is a general market in Climax, Michigan, selling Amish-made goods alongside a few snack items.
Baskets and rugs
The household side of the store is baskets and rugs, both made by Amish hands. Baskets cover the usual range of uses, from carrying to storage to display, and the rugs are the woven sort meant for floors. These are the items to come for if you want something built to be used rather than a mass-produced version, and they suit a buyer furnishing a home or looking for a durable, handmade piece.
Jam, jelly, and popcorn
On the food shelves are jam, jelly, kettle corn, and popcorn. The jam and jelly are the spreadable preserves you would expect on a pantry shelf, sold by the jar. The popcorn comes in two forms: plain kernels for popping at home, and kettle corn, which is the sweet-and-salty popped version ready to eat. Between the two, you can stock up to make your own or pick up a finished snack on the way out.
Planning a visit
Payment is cash or check; no card reader is noted, so plan to bring one of those if you intend to buy. Because the store mixes shelf-stable food with handmade household goods, it works either as a quick stop for a snack or jar of jelly or as a destination for the baskets and rugs. If you are driving in from outside the immediate area, it is worth confirming the store is open before you make the trip.
Plan a useful visit to Michigan Amish Store
General markets can combine groceries, deli items, baked goods, gifts, household supplies, or locally made products, so the store name alone may not describe the current selection. Use the listed products as a starting point and contact the business when one item is the reason for your trip.
Questions worth confirming
- Are baskets, rugs, kettle corn, jam, jelly, and popcorn currently available, and are any of those items seasonal or limited to certain days?
- Are the recorded payment methods—Cash and Check—still accepted, and do any minimums or restrictions apply?
- Have the reported hours changed for the season, a holiday, weather, or a family schedule?
- Does the business close for any regular weekday, holiday, or local event?
What this directory record can confirm
This page records the business name, location, category, and available contact or product details from the sources shown above. A Google Maps match or country-style business name does not by itself establish Amish ownership, who made every product, or what is in stock today. For those distinctions, ask the business about the specific item or relationship that matters to you. If you find an outdated address, closure, or product claim, use the listing correction form so the record can be reviewed.
